Yes it's getting close to the date we've all been anticipating since the last mixtape. BYOB, Saints newest project, is slated to come out August 20th and we want you all to join us for the party. It will be at The Academy on Osborne starting up at 10pm. Make sure to bring at least $20, $10 to get in and $10 to buy the mixtape. A lot of hard work when into this project and I think you'll all agree that its his best work to date.

So I was just looking through the new Facebook today and saw that there was a little section in your info where you can put people who inspire you. It really got me thinking into what and who inspire and motivate me to live, love and create. Here are some of the people/things I came up with.

Music.
There are so many music artist that inspire me in life. I have a specific artist that I can listen to in every single mood and situation that I am in. But there are some that I can listen to anytime. Kanye, Coldplay, and Cudi. It's weird to narrow it down to these three but I feel these are the realest, most honest musicians out right now. Writing, producing, performing. These are my favorites.

Levi Maestro.
One thing you can never say about Maestro is that he doesn't live life to the fullest. He has taken an idea and has expanded it to the point where he is now his own brand. He creates videos that show us the things he loves, it turns out he has great taste and people all over the world love him. He now gets to travel around the world creating films and visiting places he never thought he would. He is basically living my dream. www.maestroknows.com

Jeff Staple.
An absolute design genius. Jeff Staple makes it look easy. The founder of Staple Clothing, Reed Space and of course Staple Design. If I could afford designer clothes, Staple would be at the top of my list to purchase. Not to mention a design resume so full of big name clients that I wouldn't even know where to start. Extra Ordinary is the title of Saint Kris’ 2nd mixtape, which is to be released in December of 2010. Saint Kris has teamed with Sungnation and Nice! Productions in hopes of displaying his true essence from both an audible and visual standpoint.
A series of music videos will be released that will display the genuine nature of Saint Kris as the production team moves from the Music Video format to a firsthand behind the scenes look at the Extra Ordinary Kris.
Sungnation and Nice! Productions accomplish this concept by breaking the illusion of film, by filming the filmer. This approach was used to communicate that Saint Kris understands who he is (a regular guy), and is not afraid to accept it.
As his lyrics touch upon ordinary middle class issues, his honesty is what allows his music to exceed normal standards. Never claiming to be anything that that he is not, while portraying who he is through the use of poetic wordplay is what makes him anything but ordinary.

I am still looking for more of a concrete job but will settle for working whatever shift I can for Bergmanns. Ive also been doing some video work for Prov which Im hoping to finish up tomorrow. Honesly.... I feel really bad for people who hate on Kanye West. I feel bad for the people who boycott his music because of some of the mistakes that he's made. I feel bad for the people who are going to jump on the bandwagon when his new album drop... no you can't! You said you hated him... don't come grovelling back now! You people are missing out on history being made before our eyes. Some of the best hip hop songs I've ever heard! Im being straight up. ahaha! Seriously... at this point... it seems that every song Kanye releases is potentially better then the last. He is in a artistic head space right now that I have never seen from an artist before. Every move he makes is very carefully calculated. For anyone who watched the VMA's last night... you saw a man on stage confessing his problems and admitting to being wrong through a very honest song... what other rap artist in the world could do this. NOBODY! Just an amazing song! Extremely sincere. Its literally on repeat on my iTunes right now. I can't express in words how much I love it! Listen to what he's saying! Look passed curse words... some people express themselves that way! haha

So for those of you who know me, you know that I've been wanting an iPhone for a long time now. I even went through the phase when I was going to take over Jens phone plan so I could have her's... didnt happen though.

You see, Jesse L was kind enough to take over the remainder of my MTS contract so that I could live out my dream. I've been calling Rogers dealers Future Shops, Best Buys and the Apple Store multiple times daily for the last couple weeks trying to get me one of the iPhone 4's. Every single time I phone, they don't have any in stock. It got so so frustrating. Eventually after my last interview with Apple (may be getting a job there), I asked whether they knew when the next shipment of phones were coming in. They told me that they were getting one in the next morning and that if I was in the mall waiting by 9:00 a.m. I would get one!! This made me so excited, so I called MTS, set it up so that Jesse would take over my plan, gave him and phone and set off home content to get a phone early the next morning

Next Morning:
I get up around 7:15 am, grab a cup of coffee and head out to Winnipeg (from Steinbach). I get to Polo Park a little before 9 am, and walk in to find that there is already a line up stretched through the Polo hallways. Right about this time I am feeling devastated! I woke up and drove out here for nothing! There is no way they ordered this many phones! There had to be at least 150 people in front of me in line. I wasn't prepared for this. An Apple Store employee comes out and marks off the line, "All of you in line right now will get iPhones today." I felt a rush of joy shock through my body. But then I wondered whether it would be worth the wait... I don't have any cell phone or form of communication at all right now. Its either wait as long as it takes today... or potentially go weeks without a phone or even worse get another phone that is not an iPhone! Well I wasnt going to do that! So I fastened up and seat belt and and got ready to wait. Most other people in line had phones with them or music or other friends to keep them company. I had come alone, no phone, no music. After a while I sat down on the hard cement ground. Just me and my thoughts... its kind of weird but after I while I honestly think I started going crazy. 3 hours in I asked the guy next to me to save my spot and I went to the food court and got some Subway. This gave me a burst of joy and energy for about... 20 min. Then I went back to line for the next 4 HOURS!... yes.. do the math... i was in line for 7 HOURS STRAIGHT!

When I tell people this they think I'm crazy... and I completely understand why they would think this. I would never ever think that I would have waited that long in a line for a phone. And thinking back... its almost like I was possessed or something. I was literally cut off from the world for those 7 hours. Nobody knew where i was... i couldnt tell anybody. I was stranded in the middle of civilization. But let me tell you something... I formed a bond with those people in line that day... a mutual respect...for a common goal... iPhone 4. and it was worth it! When I saw that Apple employee walking out to greet me in that gorgeous blue shirt... i wept with joy (inside).
The first thing I did when i left the mall was call my home number (it was the only phone number I could remember haha). My sisters voice was literally the first familiar voice I had head all day. Had been in line from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. I was excited to hear her.

yes i am crazy... but i have a story to tell... and an iPhone 4.

Kind of a contrast in musical and life styles but it ends up sounding great. The one downfall of this mixtape is the way in which he released it. so eventually i would like to make video's for a living... well once a year for about 4 weeks i get to do this. im working at prov sports camp right now filming the weeks evens and making week end videos for the campers to take home and watch over and over again. i also help jennie p a little bit as she works her wonderful magic on the programming side of things. late nights...early mornings...hours and hours and hours of footage narrowed down for 9 min. this is what i do. its obviously a very small gig is the grand scheme of things but its a lot of fun! still got two more weeks left but i figured i'd let you know that its so far so good.

and once camps are over im an unemployed bum without a plan...

Vans shoes, designed by various artist from around North America, were auctioned off with all proceeds going to the Winnipeg Childrens Hospital. Hello everyone, I haven't really talked to you guys in awhile so I figured I would tell you a little of what I've been up to.
For the past month and a half I have been working at Red Rock Bible Camp on Maintenance. I make very little money and do a lot of work. You may be thinking, Why would you do this Cam?, Why work for so little and do so much? Well its because I love Red Rock and I love the people that work there. I do whatever I can for the camp and about a month before school ended I felt God calling me out there again. Im sorry that I have not seen a lot of you lately. I only come out on weekends and a lot of the time I just can't make it to the city or Im just too tired to even go out and do something. I promise to make time you all of you once my camp journey is over in August (after Prov Sports Camp's over). This is my first day off in exactly two weeks. I've also got only two weeks of work left at Red Rock until I'm done then I have a week off to work on Sports Camp stuff then its off to Prov to do what I do!

ps. Drake album out this coming Tuesday!!! Go out and pick it up!

Well today is the big day that I've been looking forward to for the last few months. I will be officially graduating at 2pm this afternoon then heading home, finishing my packing and heading to Georgia!... Why Georgia you ask? My cousin Matt is getting married to a Georgia Peach named Alisha and I'm a groomsman! Im heading down there with Joel Coursey (Best Man) and Steve Schapansky (Groomsman). Its going to be the funnest trip EVER!! Im planning on taping the whole thing taking a bunch of pictures then Im going to release a three episode mini series! What to say first... well I guess I have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that I've recently decided to head to BC for a while (roughly a year and a half)... the bad news, for some, is that same very news. I got a call from my Uncle Patrick, who lives on Vancouver Island, and he offered to let me live and work there for a while. After talking with him for a while he thought of a former student of his who works in a boutique in downtown Victoria called Phaze and figured that I'd probably be able to get a job there.
I've already cancelled all my prior comitments that I had this summer. I talked to Scott about sports camp and quit my job at Red Rock. I feel bad about just getting up and leaving everybody without warning and I plan to talk to all the people I will be "abondoning" but I feel like I have to do this. I just been feeling stagnant over the past few year. I've been stuck here doing school and haven't got out much. I need to see new sights and experience new things. I've kinda been keeping these plans on the DL until now but here it is. I'm going to leaving a week after I graduate so everybody hang out with me until then. haha
I'm so sorry... but not really.
